I am putting together a team from CT to make the trip out to Vegas in March and can use any advice about the Eligible game. We all play 9-man out here so we have no idea what we are getting into.... Wondering about X's and O's, differences between 9-man lineman and 8-man lineman and things like that.
Thanks in advance

Hay Chris44 in 8man everyone eligible so the only real adjustment will be on defense. You can use any kind of offense and be successful it just depends on your skill guy's. But on defense you will have to play a lot more zone to protect from the dump off to the linemen. Some teams don't block at all so you would have to use speed rushers to run down the QB. Big d-linemen don't work in 8man. You want speed all over the field on defense if possible.
You will see the traditional offenses which are 3 blockers including the center and they are used in emergency situations or you will see a spread with 7 WR's going out and no blockers for the QB. In that case you will need some quick rushers to run him down and skill guy's to play a good zone. If you have one good rusher you can actually man to man but if that rusher misses it could be trouble. Zones are much better when you are new to 8man but any offense will work and if you have big boys that can block that will difficult for some 8man teams to deal with.
Hope this helps!
