Ok folks, the points and bragging rights go on the line for the first time this year- Saturday at Hanford's Freedom Park, here's the breakdown:
.) The Show- Convential thinking would say that these guys should walk away with this tournament but anyone that knows this team understands that the squad that shows up in Las Vegas each year and the squad that routinely plays in the local circuit are two very different beasts. Can these guys show up with enough of their core players to walk away winners this weekend? 3-2 Record in Las Vegas losing to Bryant Sports 13-14 and Da Bears 14-17.
.) CV Demons- An up and coming group that took two trips to Las Vegas this year and it's really starting to show in their play at local events. If JJ shows up and runs QB, they can hang with anyone and can win this tournament even without him. 1-4 Record in Las Vegas, beating a very good Brand Nu team out of Atlanta.
.) TKO- They've had an up and down year, if they can lock down a group of OL guys and put together a better protection scheme enabling them to free up their skill players, they'd be dangerous! Their day is coming. 2-3 Record in Vegas loosing to the COMP champs in a tight one in the semi-finals.
.) Sik Wit It- These guys just keep getting better and better, their next step will be to travel out of the area, I saw a number of them make the trip this year with the Geeksquad to Las Vegas, I think we'll see them make a COMP appearance next year.
.) Fresno Renegades- Good, young team that's been making the local rounds; they are pretty athletic and have a solid QB, a good start for any club.
.) The Regulators- They've got one athlete that can straight blow by people, they've got some good size up front as well but I think they are still learning the game after being the top dogs up in Madera for a while. It's funny how you really don't know what's up until you get out of your own region and see some different styles of play.
.) Above Average- Young squad from Fresno, just learning the game.
.) Laton- See #7...
points on the line fellas, go get it!
