1.) Bryant Sports (CO)-
The Word: They are using the phrase “defend our title” and hyping the World Championships. But very little is coming out of their camp about personnel, I don’t think you can name a bigger surprise than these guys winning the World’s last year.
Strength: Teamwork and familiarity
Weakness: Depth, predictability on offense, lack of pressure rush on defense
2.) Southbay Ballers (CA)-
The Word: They might be making up for a lack of youth and depth by bringing in some help from the 9man Hotboys out of Texas.
Strength: QB play, experience
Weakness: Lack of mobility and sophistication on offense
3.) Long Beach All-Stars (CA)-
The Word: I don’t think anyone is saying anything, they’ve been quiet and that goes against their nature. It could get ugly for their opponents this year now that they’ve got a point to prove.
Strength: Creativity on offense, pass rush on defense
Weakness: Lack of composure when challenged
4.) Da Bears (UT)-
The Word: It seems like business as usual for this group, unless I’m seeing things, they’ve been absent from league play recently?
Strength: Confidence in teamwork
Weakness: Offensive predictability
5.) Daygo Funhouse (CA)-
The Word: According to his Facebook page, this is Larry’s last year in the tournament, he claims that he will only be involved in league play from here on out.
Strength: Big game experience, team continuity
Weakness: An increasing lack in overall athleticism, old age
6.) New Hustle (CA)-
The Word: After upsetting Funhouse in their last league championship, New Hustle claims to be coming to the World’s “fully loaded”. With an overall lack of San Diego teams in the tournament, I believe it, San Diego teams have always “borrowed” players for tournament time.
Strength: Experience, role players
Weakness: Team speed
7.) TMT (NV)-
The Word: After many years of “being bored” with league play, DX snuck up and took the crown from the Sin City champs.
Strength: TEAM first dynamic, toughness
Weakness: Inability to stretch a defense vertically
8.) The Show (CA)-
The Word: This is the team’s 10 year anniversary and eighth straight Las Vegas appearance.
Strength: Team Defense, Pro experience
Weakness: Red Zone scoring, rookie QB
9.) DX (NV)-
The Word: This full spread team can lay claim to being the currently the best team in Nevada.
Strength: Team speed, spread dynamic
Weakness: Lack of big game experience
10.) 8Ballers (CA)-
The Word: With the virus illness to Randy of Source One, the 8Ballers swooped in a picked up some major talent from the Sacramento area.
Strength: QB experience, athleticism
Weakness: Lack of team chemistry and continuity, organization
11.) TKO (CA)-
The Word: This will be the team’s first foray into the PRO level after having probably California’s hottest year on their local circuit.
Strength: Skill position athleticism
Weakness: Rush and OL play
The Rest of the Best:
12.) Slaughterhouse (CA)
13.) NU Nation (GA)
14.) SLA (UT)
15.) Renegades (CA)
16.) Vandals (AZ)
17.) Young Money (NV)
18.) Outkast (CA)
19.) Ball Hawks (NV)
20.) FAB (CA)
