I wanna know why has the past 2 years field locations been so nutsty. I came to the U to play at top notch facilties and it's been mediocre for the past 2 years. I wouold like to see the tourney go back to Fort Lauderdales fields. Now that Park was state of the art and it was in a great location. I want to know where is the U planning on having the National Championship this year, because it's best to know early so teams can determine if they really want to continue to participate knowing that you have nothing fantastic to look forwards to, when it comes field area location. There are thousands of parks and recs that can beat the fields we have been playing at for the past 2 yrs. Put the time in and do the research to get us the great facilities. Don't make this about money because the U has been making out just fine, and I truly believe that. Keep us in the loop on where this year we be at!!!!
Thanks

Arnell, this is Jey with the U. I hear what you are saying but let me say this. The fields we had this year were GREAT fields. The ONLY question was the location being further away from Orlando, but EVERYONE agreed that the QUALITY of those fields were high standard and yes, an up grade from the year before. Going to Ft Lauderdale in that Stadium is what you are questioning, and it was the fact of the COST to teams to travel forcing our hand. For you team, maybe Ft Lauderdale is a inexpensive, but but for some of the smaller teams it was outside their budget.
Plus the QUALITY of this years fields were BETTER than the stadium. You are looking it from the dressing around the fields; yes the stadium deal was nice. But in regards to the actual fields, there was NO contest. Now we are in negotiations with the city of Tampa and Orlando, we will know where we are going before VA Beach. We always do our due diligence in regards to the fields so that we can keep the SAME prizes we give out. Unlike you we cannot make a decision based on one team, we have to make a decision based on ALL the teams. Hope that you understand this. Thanks
